Jason, thanks for taking time to stop by and drop a note, I understand where you are coming from.

From one author to another, I’d never dictate what anyone should or shouldn’t write, all I ask is take into consideration how your work will impact others. As authors, we all hope to make an impact and reach our reader in one way or another.

You’re 100% right when you say no everyone, I’d argue anyone, lives a perfect life. Life is for sure incredibly hard, and the world most certainly isn’t black and white, but knowing all this, all I’m hoping for is more empowering endings for survivors of toxic, traumatic relationships.

Don’t not write about them, write about them, and show every shade of grey in between. There is more than the black and white outcome of, his love for her magically changing his heart resulting in him never hurting her again. It’s not that it doesn’t happen, but it take a lot of work, communication, and self-awareness to get there.

Thanks again for contributing to the conversation.
